Here's the first proof, hand-rubbed with a wooden spoon. I'm quite pleased with it, but I am going to lighten the little finger slightly, as it's starting to merge with the background.

Ooh, yes, you are right about lightening the little finger a tad, but I love the strong light and how you've achieved it with the cuts.
I agree about the little finger, but it looks great I love the textures that make the form.
That's a really well-realised hand... hope to see the final version soon once you're happy with that little finger.
