Look what my arty Mum and I found in an old drawer in her studio. Some old lino and woodblock printmaking stuff she bought decades ago and hardly used! There's an old William Mitchell lino cut set, complete with diddy roller. Also an unopened pack of basic woodcut tools; even some type-high lino pieces. They'll be fun to play with.

*lusts* what a find! Do you reckong the lino will be OK after all this time?
I love using old tools like these.
Steam ironing the lino with a towel in between the two might soften it enough to keep it from 'chipping' or otherwise being too brittle.
Cheers
I love it when that happens - it's always extra special having been hidden for so long!
I love that old lino set!
It's like Christmas in July!
Thanks everyone for your comments, and thanks Eli for the tip about rejuvenating the lino. I shall certainly give that a go.
I'm going to be very good and finish my wood engraving first, then I shall have a little go with the lino stuff. Watch this space, as they say.
You can also pop that lino onto a warming tray every now and then, to keep it soft, while working on it. And, those woodcutting tools look like a set I bought 40 years ago and are still amongst my faves. They are the old "good steel" kind, even though they were dirt cheap at the time. Good finds!
